Aquarium Pula

A large educational aquarium in an Austro-Hungarian fortress from 1886 with Adriatic and Croatian marine species.

The aquarium is located in the 130-year -old Verudela fortress , part of the once powerful defensive complex of the Austro-Hungarian Pula Fortress.

Today, the fort is inhabited by hundreds of species of fish from the northern and southern Adriatic, as well as numerous species from tropical marine and fresh waters, as well as fish from Croatian rivers and lakes.
